OU wants payment for Postgraduate course now. But I can't apply for postgraduate loan until June
Hi All
I want to take a Masters with the OU this Autumn. I have applied for the course and they want me to pay for the first module now. But I don't have the money. I need to apply for the Postgraduate Loan first, but I can't do that until June this year, and then I have to wait c. 6 weeks to get the money. I would consider a bridging loan using a 0%credit card, but I am concerned that would affect my credit score negatively and what if for some reason I can't get a Postgraduate Loan? Has anyone else been in this situation? What have you done to solve it?

Your credit score is irrelevant, no lender ever sees it.
The cheapest way you will do this, if you can't borrow from family, would probably be a money transfer credit card (unless OU accept card payments for the course, in which case, a 0% purchase card would work). The former will mean a fee for the transfer but puts cash in your bank account to spend as you wish.0
