National minimum wage

Is this going up in April. Normally I can find out online but this year in my age bracket ( 23 years plus ) it says in brackets ( national living wage) which I know is different ,

    Thank you. I had read that but get confused with NMW and NLW

    This from the gov.uk site may help. 
    • "aged 25 to get the National Living Wage - the minimum wage will still apply for workers aged 24 and under

    From 1 April 2021 the National Living Wage will apply if you’re aged 23 and over.

    I'm guessing that the reason for the different terminology is that they they assume the under 23s will still predominantly be living with parents and therefore don't need as much.

    The government changed the name from NMW to NLW.
    As Thrugelmir says, for someone over 23 it will change from £8.72 to £8.91 from 1st April.

    (There is an organisation called the Living Wage Foundation which campaigns for people to be paid what they now call the "Real Living Wage" , which is worked out based on costs of living, and is currently,. I think, £9.50 per hour outside London, )
