Old Mortgage & Secured loan

I had a mortgage & secured loan with me ex parter took out 2004 in 2007 we split up and the house was repossessed. I have had no written contact ever from the mortgage lender HSBC apart from a telephone call they asked me to provied a copy of my passport. Which i never sent or had any dealing with them. Picture Finance was the secured loan i had a man come to my door approx 2008/9.
I had never had any correspondence. The information isnt showing on my credit file just associated named with my ex. Can i get this removed off my credit file?
If i get another mortgage with the HSBC can they put a claim on the a new property or add the debits to a new mortgage with out my permission?
