Loan After Credit Report Error
I’ve just found that I’ve got a mixed credit report where recently my details have been mixed with a relatives - I found this when I attempted to switch a utility bill and failed the credit check. It obviously failed because the details of two people simultaneously don’t make sense!
I can go ahead and resolve that through raising disputes on the affected credit reports, but I wonder when it has been resolved whether there will be an effect on my ability to take out any credit in the near term as most of the checks are a “computer says yes or no” scenario and anything unexpected will be a no.
The plan was to take out a loan for around £15k to deal with some emergency house repairs over the next few months which is planned and my income supports it, but I don’t know if this will be possible now - anyone with knowledge or similar experiences that can advise? Help is very much welcome!
