SERPS (Help)

Good afternoon, I'm hoping that somebody on here can give me some help and or advice...
Back in the late 1980's I contracted out and was enrolled into an Abbey National SERPS pension, over the course of time I have moved several times and no longer have any paperwork, I have used the government pension tracing scheme and have found out that Royal London took over pensions from Abbey National / Santander.
I have contacted RL to see if they have any information on file for myself with no joy, nothing has been found, I've gone back to Santander and they have nothing on file under my details, I know that the policy was with AN, Has anybody else been in this situation if so do you have any advice on tracking down my old policy?
Any help would be much appreciated..
Regards
Stewart

Was this the only time that you were in a contracted out pension scheme?
Have you obtained a State Pension Forecast?

Is a COPE shown?
See also https://www.royallondon.com/existing-customers/contact-us/abbey-national/ for other suggestions.0 -
Are you sure it was Abbey National and not perhaps Abbey Life? (I have seen people mix those two up before).
If it is Abbey national, did you go to the Glasgow office? That is the one that deals with old AN plans. The Wilmslow or Manchester offices of RL wouldn't know what is held in other RL offices.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
The state forecast is £175.20 per week, as long as i pay 2 more years NI over the next 15 years of working, The COPE was £40.52 per week..
I called the 0345 number and they had no records of me, The number for the Glasgow office wasn't accepting calls at this time0 -
You were only ever contracted out into the AL policy?
If so, then the COPE derives from that policy.

Have you tried the Pensions Advisory Service as suggested in the link?
