Changing dentist to maintain implants?

Does anyone know if it’s possible to change dentists to maintain implants? I’ve got an All on Four implant retained bridge with which I’ve had so many niggling problems. My dentist seems oblivious to the fact that I seem to be there every couple of months with a new problem, fillings falling out, teeth breaking after a poor repair (3 or 4 times in a year), badly adjusted bite, retaining bit snapping, etc. I have to travel 90 minutes each time but they often alter appointments at the last minute. Is it possible to change dentists or not?

You should ask for a copy of your records , x rays , implants used,size and  torque used etc. And then seek a dentist who has the suitable equipment to maintain your all on four. 

Be aware all implant work needs maintainance and repair and if you are someone who grinds or clenches , and from your description you may well be , you may well need more work than normal because implants and your own teeth react in very different ways when you are a grinder. You are more likely to break implant parts because there is not the same "feel" to pressure as on your own teeth. 

You are also more likely to break your own teeth and fillings and it may be that you need further treatment to sort this issue out.

Thanks for your prompt and helpful reply. I understand about the maintenance, but it’s the careless approach that has upset me, like fillings in the screw holes repeatedly falling out, repairs done badly so they need to be redone, changing appointments etc. I’m a good patient, I don’t complain but I really wonder if I’m getting the best help, so it’s good to know that it would be possible to select another dentist. I wondered if anyone else would take me on!
