eBay or Gumtree are good options, but you won't get much for furniture. The best way to maximise what you can get for it is to take some time taking good photos and measuring and including the essential dimensions (which might be more than just Length/Width/Height/Depth). You should think about the dimensions that people will need to know if they are to check that it will fit into their home. Make sure you are clear about any marks or scratches on the items.
Include details of the items age, and whether they have been lightly used. If they have been heavily used and are basically worn out, you shouldn't even try selling them. Get them down to the local tip.
