Police Pension Scheme - survivors family members

Hiya - first time poster, here.
Sadly, my father passed away earlier this year. He was a police officer for around 20 years (late 80's to late 00's), and was 55 when he died, which happens to be the age when benefits begin to be paid out. The 1987 PPS legislation is pretty clear that in the event of death, benefits are paid to the surviving spouse of the beneficiary, but is quite vague about what happens when this beneficiary is single - as was the case with my father.
As his sole heirs, would my siblings and I be entitled to anything?
Thanks!

There is a comprehensive guide on gov.uk.
Children's pensions are largely dependent on your age and, if young enough, education situation.
