Santander mortgage

So our application is now apparently in the underwriting priority queue awaiting a decision. To say I’m anxious is an understatement. Our LTV is just under the 85% agreed in mortgage illustrations. The valuation came in 10K under but luckily still fit into the LTV rate.

Does anyone know how long it will take to get a decision if in priory queue many thanks

@firsttime2021 Santander has been pretty good for my straightforward apps in recent weeks. Not entirely sure what a "priority queue" is tbh. Hopefully someone else who knows will chime in.

  • So far, Santander has been the best mortgage lender I have come across even for buy-to-let.  Any comments?

@te7037n08 With regard to straightforward personal BTL cases, they are right up there with regard to rate, max borrowing at 5 years (lower stress rate than most competitiors) and capital raise remos. A few cons are that they don't offer further advances and don't do Let-2-buys. All said and done, a good lender right now for straighforward BTL mortgages in personal names.
