Personal Allowance and Tax Free Income

Does income that is tax free go towards my Personal Allowance? I ask because I was awarded a tax free disability pension from the Army but have seen from my tax code notice that this is being allocated to my Personal Allowance. This doesn’t seem right to me. Can anyone please advise? Thank you muchly in advance

You should check your Personal Tax Account to see if the Army is reporting this as taxable income.
If so you will need to get the Army to correct their Real Time Information submissions as HMRC are simply acting on what the Army have advised them.1
