Triodos Bank experiences for current account

downsizing

Hi all,
My partner and me are looking into moving our money to some greener options and are currently looking at Triodos Bank. I have searched around here and they seem to be quite good but thought it might be good to ask you for your experiences with them - we want to move our current accounts and also some ISA. Any feedback - the good, the bad and the whatever else please let us know

Thanks in advance!

I can't speak for the customer service side etc, but for what its worth, I can confirm that the green side is in their dna.
I went to Zeist (just east of utrecht - zeist is where their main offices are) for a business trip and was impressed by the green focus. Even the entry area etc decorations are recycled paper and so on, and the "staff wellbeing" looked very good as well.Peter

I'm in the process of switching from HSBC right now. They've recently updated their online-baking website and it seems much more in line with the 'big' banks now. I haven't had any real issues, and I'm really on-board with their ethical/eco-credentials, so am happy with the £3 a month fee. The only thing that's been a bit of a pain is that transfers in/out of my current account to non-Triodos accounts does seem to take quite a while (several hours at a minimum). I'm probably quite used to the seemingly instantaneous transfer from places like HSBC/Barclays and perhaps that speed will improve as more people sign up. For the moment I'm willing to give it a good go and accept some decrease in overall quality for the benefits of not investing with a massive corporate beast. Haven't used any of their ISAs yet, but will probably be something I look at in the future (it hardly seems worth it with interest rates so low anyway).1
