Reasonably priced home office fitted furniture suppliers/fitters?

I'd like to squeeze the maximum utility and storage out of quite a small study (roughly 2.5 x 2.5 metres), and have begun to look around for suppliers. Obviously none of their websites can give an idea of pricing expectations, but I know from past experience that the likes of Neville Johnson are going to be astronomical - way beyond what I want to spend.
Has anyone had any experiences of reasonably-priced suppliers of fitted home study furniture which is of a decent enough quality? I'm based in South West London.
I'd prefer to avoid self-assembly/Ikea type stuff as (a) self-assembly usually makes me very angry very quickly and (b) I'd be limited to off-the-shelf units which probably wouldn't make best use of the space/dimensions of my study.

I should add that I also use it as a (amateur) home recording studio - guitars/drums/midi keyboard - so companies who might have a little experience of that would also be a bonus.

Improbable as it might sound, try talking to a few small independent kitchen designers. They often have excellent carpenters and are used to working in small rooms, because that's exactly what many kitchens are. Some bespoke furniture might not cost as much as you think - and needn't look like a kitchen.
