    Buttered bog roll nice.
  • I cannot believe that Lidl are basing their selections on what customers actually want, more what they make a high margin on and may entice people to buying more regularly with an initial discount. Not sure that it actually attracts more customers to their stores.

So much to read, so little time.

I agree with Rosa. The selections lately are more of what I would call indulgence items.....and the discount is not great either.   I  consider loo rolls to be essential items but better and cheaper available elsewhere. Weekend offers used to be everyday items, bacon, butter, cereals etc.
I shop in Lidl far less than I used to.

I tend to avoid toilet roll with the words "Soft", "Aloe Vera", "Quilted" and so forth in the description. Shea butter sounds horrific. I would imagine it could get somewhat greasy.

I bought some the last time it was on offer.  As far as I can tell it's as dry as any other slightly quilted 3-ply toilet paper.  I have it for the use of guests (when they are allowed back) but prefer thinner paper and a sponge for my own use.
