Basic biscuit recipe to freeze - any recommendations anyone?

Over the next few days/weeks/probably months I've got lots of bits of building work going on so obviously want to provide endless brews and bikkies. I thought I'd make some hobnobs but realise I've only got a scraping of golden syrup in the tin so wondered if anyone can recommend a good basic biscuit dough that I can freeze and take out and bake on the day I know they're coming as they're fitting in some of my work around other jobs so I won't always have much notice.
I don't want to fill a biscuit tin as I'll only scoff them myself nor do I want to buy any for the same reason so the dough must be freezable!! I've got the usual flour, butter, sugar, eggs, oats, cocoa, honey etc etc in.
Your experiences please old stylers.
Thanks

Honestly it is just cheaper and quicker to buy from Lidl and Aldi. (That's my plan this summer and I'm sticking to it).

When I had a builder in last year I only made him coffee but no biscuits. I don't eat them so I wasn't going to buy them!2

They’re cheap to buy because they are made with palm oil. This is a fairly plain recipe as it’s intended to be decorated, but it makes a nice biscuit: http://mirandagorebrowne.co.uk/recipes/biscuits/vanilla-biscuits-perfect-for-decorating. I often freeze uncooked biscuit dough, roll it into a log, cut slices off and cook from frozen. Haha thank you. Shops are 10 miles away and as I said, if I buy them I'll eat them as I never buy them for myself. They're treat foods. I also have a lovely local chap who helps sort out the garden - I def want nice biscuits for him.joedenise said:When I had a builder in last year I only made him coffee but no biscuits. However, maybe covid has put paid to it, an electrician visited today and said he wasn't allowed to have a brew as his mask must stay on at all times. And I'd made some Mary Berry fork biscuits too -yumm. Hey ho!! I'll try out the freezer biscuits suggested by Polly though.
Thanks again all. Liz5 -
These are lovely. I've just made a double batch. I baked half and the other half have gone in the freezer.

You freeze the dough raw. I've rolled it into a sausage in greaseproof paper. When you want to cook them you can just slice them off and cook from frozen.
