Gutted and upset

I won some Dyson airwrap curlers Christmas on instergram .. Worth £449 
Sadly Dyson haven't had any in stock. The company I won with barley reply but when they do they are friendly and seem genuine they haven't taken any information from me other then my address and name they also posted on social media I had WON. So  I noticed some Dyson curlers  in stock so I contacted them and the replied we can't seem to add to basket. 
That's it....
They read my reply about what we can do but nothing 
Nothing else.. 
Anyways last night our family cat was in a accident... She's been to the vets thankfully she will be OK and will recover. It cost a fortune but worth it for a life of course. 

Just hate companies that waste your time for weeks or no months if they aren't going to send it. 
Would rather them block me then ignore its awful. 

Sorry for ranting guys just a bad time at the moment. X

    I’m so sorry to hear you are having a bad time. It’s really not fair that they haven’t sent the prize. I hope you’re cat is ok.

    What happens if my prize doesn’t turn up?
    This is going to be individual to each comp. Usually it will state in the T & C for each comp how long it should take for the prizes to be dispatched to winners. As a general rule though or in the absence of any particular details in the T & C, allow 28 days, (allow more if we are experiencing postal strikes or extreme weather conditions). If the prize hasn't arrived by then, get in touch with the company offering the prize. Try to contact the person whose details you have & ask politely if there is a problem with delivery. A telephone call is the best way, but failing that try emailing them. If they don't reply, look on the original website for contact details & contact them, again being as polite as you can.

    If you still get no response from them, there are a few different things you can try.

    The Institute of Promotional Marketing [EMAIL="complaints@theipm.org.uk"]complaints@theipm.org.uk[/EMAIL] lay down the guidelines which comp organisors must follow. MSE Compers have reported that they are very good at investigating dodgy comps & missing prizes. (The IPM was formerly known as the Institute of Sales Promotion, the name changed in May 2010.)

    The Advertising Standards Authority have an online complaints form.

    I had an issue with a prize not turning up & after chasing politely for 5 months, I mentioned that I had been advised to talk to the IPM about the matter. Funnily enough that resulted in a letter of apology within a few days, along with a box of ‘Apology Goodies’ & my prize turned up 2 weeks later. Just remember to keep your cool & remain polite.

    tell the company to contact Dyson to find out why they can't be added or contact them yourself, have you tried adding them to a basket yourself?

    I also really hope you get your prize. Sounds like some good advice has been posted, fingers crossed the company sort it out quickly. You really don't need the added stress! X

    Sorry to hear about your cat, some vets will let you have a payment plan or you can get 0% or low interest credit cards to help, if you can't find the funds. Asda pet insurance were fantastic with our dog, might be worth looking into insurance in the future, although they don't usually cover previous conditions.
    I hope your cat has a fast recovery, I know how much animals are part of the family. 🐱❤️

    It is frustrating not to receive a prize, I've only had it once and it was only something small and the blogger completely ignored me. If you are worried, I'd contact Dyson myself or tag the company and Dyson on social media, like Twitter and ask publicly, they can't delete your comment if you do it on your own Twitter.
    Unfortunately I don't think you can contact ASA at the moment as they aren't taking any enquires on at the moment, I tried myself when I didn't get my prize.

    Thanks everyone I've asked them if they could maybe send me the money instead so I can buy this end in the UK
    They have said they will look into it
    Sadly I feel as though they are just wasting my time 😔

    I genuinely had been due to our cat being unwell Not because of the competition it just annoyed me on top of it to not have a genuine win or someone messing me around
