Hey.
If you have seen my previous posts then you'll know that something has gone wrong at every step of the way.
We finally got everything in order, picked a completion date and was waiting for exchange when Santander have emailed saying they have withdrawn our offer pending more information.
We found out from our broker that they have requested my partners passport. Obviously everything is now on hold again until they see it (which will arrive with the broker today).
Has anyone had this? Is this normal? Should i stop getting excited as they may withdraw offer entirely?
If they withdraw the seller will remarket as they have been threatening it for weeks to try and hurry us along.
I'm starting to feel that this is never going to happen:-(

It's not common, but it happens.

I'm starting to feel that this is never going to happen:-(@punkcandykane I've had one case (not Santander) recently with a similar issue, the client was on a European passport. Some lender systems aren't properly updated yet with the new residency requirements for EU citizens who previously had automatic rights. So they asked for proof of right to remain which effectively is either the "pre-settled" or "settled" status. Went through fine after I provided that as it was already on file.So it could just be that it wasn't picked up at packaging stage but has been now.Your case may or may not be similar.I am a Mortgage Adviser - You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Hey thanks for the advice.
We both have UK passports but originally they only requested mine. I am hoping that they were looking through our case and just realised they wanted it.
It got sent to the lender today after our broker verified it so I am hoping we hear back soon. Im not sure what the Santander wait is atm though. If its 5 days we have deff missed the original exchange and completion date.
