Do Sheila's Wheels ask for proof of no-claims-discount?

Hi all.

Got quite a low quote from Sheila's Wheels. Will they ask me to send/email my no-claims-discount or will they find out themselves from my last insurer?

The same applies re. my driving license.

Thanks.

I'm with them, I think it depends on the previous insurer. I moved from Admiral to them and they got it themselves. Just ask and they'll let you know.

On a side note, this is my third year with them; I used to switch every year but they somehow manage to beat the comparison websites every year. Plus they're quite good to deal with, so even if you do need to give them this info it shouldn't be much trouble.

Thanks Jibeddy. My current insurer is Churchill if that's helpful.

I'm not sure what you mean about the insurer checking your driving licence.  You will be asked if you have a licence, and endorsements etc.  If you given inaccurate information they will almost certainly refuse to pay in the event of a claim.  If they find during the life of the insurance that you have given false information they will cancel the policy and you will have problems getting cover in future.
