Does anyone have any experience on how to claim on these, please? I’m assuming I have to keep them until I’m 55?
Many thanks

    What type of AVCs?
If you actually mean AVC as a product then you almost certainly cannot complain about these being missold as they are not a retail product.   AVCs are offered by occupational pensions and usually bought without advice direct from the scheme provider.

If you mean FSAVC, then these were abolished in 2006 and reclassified as personal pensions and given the tax benefits of a personal pension (25% tax free cash and the ability to use drawdown for example).   These are retail products and were frequently bought with advice.
Does anyone have any experience on how to claim on these, please?
Why would you be looking to complain about it?   Making additional provision for your retirement is usually considered a good thing.  Why do you think it isn't?

I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.
  • I have seen an advert by "It IS your money" to say that they can make a claim for retired teachers for missold FSAVC.  Anyone have any experience of this? Are they genuine?
