I just hope they haven't made an already desperate person feel worse. It's extremely stressful being in debt, the circumstances leading up to it don't matter. It's great that there are so many supportive people here willing to offer advice. It has definately made the process a lot easier for me, I will be forever grateful.luvchocolate said:Unfortunately this poster is saying all kinds of rubbish on these boards.

Yes, I remarked elsewhere that the comments seem tactless and inappropriate, and they are especially so on your thread where you’ve been asking for advice specific advice on your bankruptcy situation, not a lecture on how to save money.Worried3648 said:

Anyway, fingers crossed all will be well for you in the end. Keep us posted x1 -
Hi, I just really wanted to add my support because I've had a DRO in the past and I really struggled before, during and after - but the people I dealt with were not judgemental and were very helpful. I think I would have cried, at that time, if anyone had spoken sharply to me. I'm a bit tougher now but it's really unnecessary. I looked on my DRO as a bankruptcy really as it stayed on my credit file for six years and people kept saying it was similar. If I can survive, anyone can and you're on your way now. The thing I regretted was that I spent months faffing about, knowing what I needed to do but feeling too scared to take the plunge.
I hope Ms Nasty doesn't decide to extend your bankruptcy - at least you were polite throughout the call. Anyhoo, good luck with it all and I hope everything goes well. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts.
