What a coincidence, hubby had a consultation at the local branch of Optical Express this afternoon and got 2 quotes, the more expensive one being £1300 per eye. :undecided This took us by surprise, we thought it would be slightly cheaper tbh. On the way home I was actually wondering whether I could get it cheaper, and now I've just logged in and noticed this post. Thanks a lot OP! :T
This is great news, couldn't have come at a better time for us. :jGotta start some serious points collecting (haven't been that interested in Mr T and his points lately

Hi All,
Has anyone been able to read the additional information given via the link http://www.tesco.com/CLUBCARD/DEALS/PRODUCTINFOSHEETS/S7806.PDF yet? I'm sure the T&C's will be a little restrictive, but with £1,700 in CC deals to spend, Mrs. Ooh is very interested in this.
Cheers,
Jay0 -

Your link doesn't work for me.0 -
Interested to see what the cost of this and whether they make you pay a premium to use the vouchers (via a markup in cost).0

I had mine done yesterday and I feel fab and can see almost perfect already!!
I was terrified! No pain, but can't say it was a pleasant experience. I see it as 10 minutes of discomfort for a lifetime of being able to see. I went to optical express and would highly recommend them. My friend went to Optimax and didn't feel happy with them.
If anyone wants a recommend a friend voucher for Optical Express then post a reply and I can send you one. You get £50 off your treatment. :j0 -
We do not normally treat the following, but please do enquire as we may be able to help:
* People with a lazy eye
* Partially sighted or blind in one eye
* Severe epileptics
* Those suffering from rheumatoid arthritis or collagen diseases
* People with a depressive disorder or obsessive personality problems
* Pregnant women and mothers who are breastfeeding
Anyone know why that is?
edit: found it myselfIt can be upsetting for a patient if their results are not as they anticpate it would be. Patients who suffer from depression may find it hard to deal with if their results are below their expectations.
Everything's below our expectations...They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0
