Suggestion re posting regular comps

Three of us were chatting and came up with an idea which we thought was worth sharing and inviting opinions on.

What do folk think about starting an ongoing thread about regular posters of regular comps?

We were thinking of it being somewhere for…

1) Regular posters to ask for permanent or temporary cover.

2) Compers to offer their help in posting regular comps.

3) Compers to post about comps they find that aren’t currently being posted regularly or at all.

If that seems like a good idea, could/should it also include a updatable list of who is currently posting which regular comps, if there a way of doing this?

It would be a thread that anyone who wanted to could bookmark and post anything relevant they thought would be useful.

For example, it would be a ‘home’ for posts like this one, stating “Posters Needed”: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6241434

It wouldn’t be meant for compers to ‘own’ the right to post anything, more to help those who tend to post the same comps regularly, and to help fill the gaps where regular comps are being missed.

What do people think of the idea?

Yes, thanks mjm. I didn't know/remember about that thread. I guess what we're wondering is whether something like that might be useful to do again. Or perhaps as it stopped being used, maybe it wasn't working? Not sure about it, but we thought it might be worth opening it for debate - thanks for your input, as always.
