MSE invited us and other MSE compers, to participate in live, online 1-2-1 sessions giving us the chance to offer our feedback re the forum changes. We think this went well.
We were asked several questions about how we use MSE, and given plenty of time to discuss our views on the pros and cons of the forum’s format.
The interviews were carried out using an app which, with our consent, shared our screens. This meant we could click on the site and threads to show in real time how effective, or not, MSE’s comping format is.
For example, one issue I focussed on was about only being able to see the ten most recent names of those ticking the compliment button on threads.
Amongst other things, Rhaven tackled the search function problems.
We both mentioned the lack of ability to undo the tick or cross buttons when clicked.
We were able to demonstrate how these things worked (or not) and explain what the benefits would be of changing them back to how they used to be, or otherwise make them more ‘fit for purpose’.
We were encouraged to raise any points we wanted to, which we did.
Hopefully, this is another step toward them making our forum more like the ‘user friendly’ site it used to be.
We both came away feeling encouraged and hopeful.
If any other comping interviewees want to add anything about how their interviews went, please do.
Best wishes
Blulu and Rahven
P.s. On a personal note, I just want to add a huge and sincere thanks to Rhaven who has done tons of work on this for us, in putting our thoughts and suggestions together, compiling them in a table and presenting them to MSE. She definitely deserves an MSE comping meme

I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I'm meant to be
I'm not scared to be seen
I make no apology
THIS IS ME!

When you talk down to others it says more about you than them.

Thanks to Rahven and Blulu for assembling our case and putting it forward, and to others such as elsien for supporting our cause. I too, am hopeful that progress will result from this exercise.
I continue to be disappointed with the way faults are handled by the MSE tech team and the time taken to solve them. The most recent Search Fault was reported on 28th January (HERE) with all the detail they needed to investigate the problem. I received the usual immediate auto-reply followed by manual reply saying the problem would be investigated, but after that nothing. No requests for further information nor any progress updates. The fault was finally solved a whole month later around 28th February, but they never informed me, or posted on the thread, to say it had been solved. This is really not good enough, and any other company that treated their customers in this way would find MSE all over them like a rash, as they were with the Tesco double charging IT problem that happened around the same time.12
