Mortgage with a few late payments?

Hello so basically i'm thinking of applying for a shared ownership mortgage between end of may and beginning of June. I have a few late payments on my credit file. The last one was end of 2019 and since then my credit file has been clean. I have no defaults or CCJ's or anything. Anyone got a mortgage with late payments? I was thinking of using Virgin Money as a saw a forum of people with defaults getting a mortgage with them. Anyone used Virgin Money Mortgages and been successful. I have a 15% deposit so hoping that should make the situation better. Appreciate any help

@poohjj Plenty of people have got mortgages with mainstream lenders with the odd late payment on their credit reports, it's not uncommon.

How much of an impact it will have on your chances will depend on the details and the rest of your circumstances.

    Hi K_S,
Thank you so much for getting back to me. I only have 3 late payments. I don't have no student loan, credit card debts or any outstanding debts. I was just told that late payments within two years could be a problem? What do you think?

@poohjj It depends on the details, the lender and how the rest of the circumstances stack up.
