Having taken a quick look at the FCA register, it is unclear of their size as they have not yet filled in the directory persons register (deadline is this month).       Most mortgage broker and advice firms are localised firms and unlikely to have coverage on the internet.  Its a bit like asking the internet what the butcher at the end of your road is like.

They have been around since 19th July 2019.  The director of the firm first appears on the register in December 2017 and has been a director at two other firms since then.  Companies house hasn't had much filed as its a fairly new firm.   However, what there is suggests it is a small firm.  So, it could be a one-man-band or a small local firm.   So, it is probably like most of the other local firms to you.

Small localised firms often provide a more personalised service than distant factory line services who have targets to do x number of mortgages a day and pass your case on to the unqualified clerical staff to do the work.

From my experience, as a customer who has use of a phone and email, a broker being local has absolutely no correlation to the quality of their service.

I agree with small firms being better, but unless you absolutely want face-to-face service, the firm being in Southampton or Selby doesn't matter one bit.

For reference, the OP has changed the name of the company in the title and first post since I made my reply.      My response was in relation to the original named company.

The company they are naming now does not exist on the FCA register (no company of that name or trading style).

It was more a case of being a differentiator between the smaller companies and the factory line companies.   The latter tend to have time pressure and pass the case off to unqualified staff to do the processing to allow them to move on to the next case.  There is little or no buy into the outcome as the customer is just another number to pass on.
