Is it possible to get a mortgage with previous repossession

Hi just wondering if anyone could advise on our chances of getting a mortgage. I’ll give a bit of background. In 2013 my husband was made redundant and we fell into mortgage arrears with NRAM. Following advice we voluntarily surrendered the house and subsequently declared ourselves bankrupt the following year most of which was the shortfall from the house sale. In recent years we’ve worked hard to repair our credit files which are now no longer showing the bankruptcy or account with NRAM. We’re hoping later this year to have saved enough for a 10% deposit but was just wondering if a 90% ltv will be possible with previous repossession? We are in Scotland and from what I’ve seen there appears to be less adverse lenders for property in Scotland but not sure if this is correct. I know many people get mortgages with previous bankruptcy but I’m worried the repossession will make it impossible. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think at 90% you may struggle at the minute.
85% and you should have options. Once everything drops off your credit report, you might be able to get something through but it is probably 50/50.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Hi thanks very much for replying. Both bankruptcy and NRAM accounts have now dropped off our credit files. We’ll just keep saving a while longer and keep everything crossed 🤞0
