The combination of letters and numerals never seems to work for me so this is a way round it for me

I think the reason for the captur failure is the response time from the Waitrose site, it needs a bit of time to "think".
If you wait for about 7/8 seconds i.e. count up in thousands till you get to about "eight thousand" then press enter, it usually goes through whatever the code is.

I also find if you use the top numbers not the keypad numbers it works better dont ask me why

What a great tip - thank you so much becksta for this! I have no idea how you worked that out, but I just tried it and indeed it went through first time! I think you have just single-handedly contributed to the lowering of blood pressure of compers across the UK!
