When they say it will be paid into the deceased estate what does that physically mean? Surely all they have is my Moms previous contact details and postal address?
Please excuse me if i am being slow and stupid but i am confused1 -

An elderly friend of mine in his 80s has often said to me his wife’s pension was so much lower than other women they knew who were younger. Will be great if they are entitled but also sad that they have missed out on that income for so many years when they could have done with it.Money SPENDING Expert0

my mother passed away in 2014 and I called DWP and was told that because she passed over 6 months ago I could not claim as my father would have been pensionable age prior to 2008? My father passed away in 2000. is this correct, the claim has to be made within 6 months of death? I was told the onus is on the customer to claim and if they didn't nothing can be done? It maybe that my mother was getting the correct pension anyway? Any advice would be much appreciated.
