Problems with ReAssure - anyone else ?

L&G was taken over by ReAssure late last year and despite emails and phone calls I am finding it impossible to get any response at all other than standard replies apologising for long answer/response times due to the pandemic.
Anyone else ? Any advice ? I can't move forward until I get answers - stuck between a rock and a hard place

Not quite. L&G sold some of their pension book to ReAssure. L&G are not owned by ReAssure.
ReAssure are not known for speedy replies. Forget emails. Very few insurers are good on emails. It will be a good thing when Phoenix complete the takeover of ReAssure.

Would it be better to put my questions in writing then. My first email to then was 21 Jan and no response yet. Such a pity because L&G were always swift and very helpful0

What are the questions you want to know the answers to? Their usual turnaround time is 2 weeks, if you’ve got a year until you want to retire, your questions are not urgent.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). My wifes small pensions (various) got taken by Reassure without her knowledge, which in itself is dubious at best in my opinion, but recently i helped her move them to SW , other than it taking a while it did happen, so am sure you'll get there in the end theyre just a pain , and L&G have lost all of my business, which was a fair amount because of this , i dont trust a company who sells my investment without my approval! they don't want me i don't want them , simple equation0

ReAssure have not taken any pension without the knowledge of the pension holder. The purchase of the L&G book did involve the policyholders being written to a number of times.
L&G have lost all of my business,L&G don't do much nowadays. A bit like SW really. Two old names with very little to offer in the modern market.
i dont trust a company who sells my investment without my approval! They didnt sell the investment. The sold the pension book. The investments remain as they were.
There is the possibility you will see this again with SW. Lloyds recently set up their new investment offering with Blackrock rather than select SW. SW are not that active in the individual pension market nowadays, a bit like L&G. So, it would be no surprise to see Lloyds selling off the SW unwanted book.

ReAssure acquired my L&G fund in Oct 2020, and in 6 months the value has increased by 10%! (I'm waiting for them to set me up with on-line account access to find out how). Based on 20% pa, I was thinking of transferring some cash from an HL SIPP to ReAssure but now researching them in more detail I'm having second thoughts. ReAssure reviews on Trust Pilot are dreadful.0

Why are you using 20% p.a. as a guide? You are not going to get that. It is totally unrealistic.
ReAssure reviews on Trust Pilot are dreadful.Which ReAssure legacy company are they referring to?
