Do I need to factor this in as well as a Zombie apocalypse or can I put that on the back burner when I calculate my SWR?
maybe you should look at yourself, going out if you can and wearing a mask / gloves, looney times won't you agree? :D

I don't think it is any big secret that the economy will crash at 14:38 on Thursday June 17th.  Just make sure you have completed any transfers before then.
I don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!

Yes, pretty loony times as you say.

Hence, they are totally different to the 1930s and the way that governments, firms, individuals and markets have and will react are also different to the 1930s.

As said there is always a crash on the way, and based on history including the 1930s, there is a recoveryu on the way after that. Again, as said we don't know when either will happen or how long they will last for so what most of us do is invest what we can in the funds / assets we believe will best meet our objectives.

Worry about what you can control, not what you can't.

I believe the future in the index is heading for a crash of 1930s' proportions (so I am told,  as too young to remember).
Plenty of books are available to read. If you wish to make an informed decision for yourself.
  • Oh no..not the dreaded "reversion to the mean."

  • Here you go. An ETF for you:
WisdomTree FTSE 100 3x Daily Short,  Symbol 3UKS
If the FTSE goes down 100, it goes up 300. That should make you rich when the apocalypse comes.
  • Why would a book not be available to read?
There are a lot of books written. As a sophisticated investor, Thrugelmir, do you have one to recommend to the forum?

But I noticed that you didn't specify which year that was ;)

The idea has legs. Some crypto exchanges have low liquidity and as result experience mini crashes (and mini bubbles) every day. And sometimes experience large flash crashes where you can double your investment. You need to know what you are doing though.

    So does a dead cat....
    Depends how it died...
As a fan of the film franchise, I bought this today...
