Expired Comps on Main Board

What is happening regarding moving expired comps to Game Over?
There are currently 99 pages of comps on the main board and about 30 of these contain expired comps with End Dates going back to 20/02. That's nearly a third of comps on the main board are expired.
Is there a problem with the "moving" system or is it just because Glad hasn't logged in since 24/02?
Without an Expired button we can't even help.

As noted here there is no need for it to matter, just change the filter from "all statuses" to "open" and all the "closed" ones will disappear

I'm well aware of the display/sort methods but having a way round it doesn't mean it shouldn't be done.

I'm well aware of the display/sort methods but having a way round it doesn't mean it shouldn't be done.

It's not "a way round it" as that is one of the standard board functions but it does mean there needs to be no priority to removing closed competitions.  (if you don't sort the board and enter as added you wouldn't come across them anyway and if you do use the sort functions  then it is just one additional click to eliminate the closed ones)

(also as there is no commenting on closed posts they will not be "bumped" up the pages)

Obviously doesn't bother me but some have been moved to GO this afternoon (you can tell by the edit date/time on the posts)

Now that there is a Closing Date field in the New Thread form, I see no excuse for expired comps to remain on the board; it is a very simple thing to program a comp to automatically be moved from the live board to Game Over based on that date, and there should be no need for that to be done manually. The fact that fiddling about with filters can hide them from sight does not change my mind.

I would hardly describe one click as "fiddling about" - and if you use the board "au naturel" to enter as added you would never see them anyway.
As it is not set up to do it automatically I would rather the time was spent restoring all the missing features from the old forum than worrying about expired competitions that really don't matter if they are on the main board for an extended time or not.

All expired now moved so the board should be ship shape and bristol fashion now x
