Has anyone tried Honey browser extension for automatic discount codes/vouchers?

There are some good results (e.g. an unexpected £5 off a Waitrose online shop is one current offer), but more annoying is where you have to have a particular item in your basket for a code to be applied. Sometimes you can check what the item is, but more commonly (or so I've found) you just have to get Honey to try out a range of codes and then get the message that you've already got the best price.

I get the impression that the offers are mainly for the American market, but could be wrong.

Useful to know, thx.  Since it has been somewhat legitimised by PP, I'm giving it a go.  Since worth 4bn it's clearly harvesting a lot of user information, presumably everything about every web interaction the user makes.  As a browser extension, it should be possible to disable it most of the time and just switch it on when making a purchase?   Will see how it goes

Got a couple of good deals. It’s applies the coupons itself, it’s free and it takes a literal click to use so I see no downfall even if it only works once every ten times

I have it, but have barely saved anything. One discount code literally saved me 1p.
