I have just received a letter to state that my Lloyds bank credit card debt passed onto Link Financial outsourcing, I am well aware of the debt which is just under £2000, I have 2 other older credit card debts if a smaller amount from some years ago which were taken on my "Lowell" who i have had £1 per month payment plans in place for a few years now, I am just wondering if anybody has any advice for dealing with link as i have never heard of them. Lowell have been happy to take £1 per month for the past couple of years and iv'e not heard a peep from them other then the occasional letter offering a discount to pay it off in full. I wish to have the same payment plan with link but have no idea if they will demand more or what they can do if i don't pay more than £1 per month?  I am currently in receipt of benefits and can't afford to pay more,.

They can demand anything they like, if you don't have it they can't have it, they will want to see a statement of affairs, thats it.  I think they are fairly regular with the letters but other than that it carries on as it did.
How much is your debt in total?  Have you considered any options to deal with the debt?

Debt collection agencies are the same animal no matter what name they trade under.
Just rinse and repeat as you have done with Lowell.

Your payment offer can be backed up with a copy of your budget, they are free to make whatever demands they want, and you are equally as free to ignore them.

  • My friend has a Barclays card sold onto them, they sent one letter confirming it had been passed to them and one letter a year since they don't see to chase her at all.
