Retrospective Warranty

Hi everyone
Looking to buy a home that is a 5 year old conversion, but it does not have a structural warranty from when it was converted. Looking to apply for mortgage to HSBC, does anyone know whether they accept retrospective warranties? Their criteria does not state either way and speaking to them is proving useless.
We tried NatWest but their criteria is pretty black and white that they don't accept it.

I had a similar problem for a 3 year old flat conversion in London a few years ago. My broker finally found a mainstream bank who accepted a professional consultant’s certificate in its place. Ask the vendor if he has this. I don’t recall any of the big banks being ok with a warranty unless it was in place from construction.0
