Why do I love mushrooms but not if they're in soups etc?

I'm not at all keen on tinned mushroom soup. However I dont mind dried packet mushroom soup.
Theres something about the texture of a tinned or frozen mushroom I really dont like.1 -
I have a similar issue with tomatoes - I like tomato pasta sauce, I like tomato ketchup, I like tomato 'flavour' in just about anything - but I don't like tinned or fresh tomatoes.1

There's a lot fo sugar in the things you like with tomato flavour. Tiinned and fresh are more acid.
