Application with Kensington

Just had application submitted with Kensington for myself and my husband and our baby. We are first time buyers and my husband has some adverse credit history. It has taken a while for us to receive an agreement in principle and we finally did and proceeded with a formal application after finding a home and getting an offer accepted. I’m just so so worried now about getting declined now after we’ve waited so long. Does anyone have any success stories to help me stay positive please?!

Kensington used to be horrendous. I threw my toys out the pram with them a few years back and we stopped using them.
But I think we have used them 2-3 times over the last 12 months and they have come a long long way. It feels like their underwriters have gone from being awkward to using common sense and being helpful. 

We obviously do not use them a lot from those numbers (I prefer other lenders) so I cant offer much reassurance but they have definitely improved in the last few years.

I have had my mortgage with Kensington for many years. They are way better now than in the past and have been pretty helpful with the current situation. Good luck.
