student loans

please don’t shoot me down if this is the wrong section to post in. my daughter had a student loan and is now qualified and working and her loan is being deducted via payroll. can anyone advise why student loans would call my number and ask me to get her to call them? i would expect student loans to write if they wanted to contact her? am aware there are some scams about so just looking for thoughts on this. 😀

Unless their records have fallen out of date and some post has been returned as "addressee gone away" or similar.

Have you googled the telephone number they gave you to give her? Or compared it to the one on the student loans company website?
