I'm looking for some cookware so I was curious. The problems with the 'granite' are on their own page:greatcrested said:Anyone got comments on pros and cons of stone/granite Vs ceramic?SpecificallyVs- Be advised the pans are NOT dishwasher safe.
- We recommend using a non-abrasive cleaner for stubborn stains.
- Always use heat-resistant plastic, nylon or wooden utensils on the non-stick finish. Avoid using sharp-edges or metal utensils.
- The granite coating is scratch resistant.
The ceramic has the same issues. You can't put it in the dishwasher. Ceramic is not a particularly hard or tough material so I can't really understand the fad for ceramic knives and pans.0 -
I like frying pan with ceramic nonstick coating. You have to be carefull , especially in brightly colored ceramics There’s a risk of lead and cadmium contamination. Especially in brightly colored ceramics.. Maxson give you good advise. Many claim to be scratch resistant but they are not. It's important to check the warranty. The valencia pro ceramic non-stick frypan is my favourite. The valencia pro is crafted from durable hard anodized aluminum and finished with GreenPan’s healthy ceramic nonstick coating. They sell it at a very reasonable price.greatcrested said:Anyone got comments on pros and cons of stone/granite Vs ceramic?Specificallyhttps://jean-patrique.co.uk/products/stonetastic-granite-non-stick-frying-pan-set-set-of-3Vshttps://jean-patrique.co.uk/products/bio-supreme-ceramic-frying-pan-set-1 -
