Martin / Carolyn McCall regarding freelancers

Was listening to a The Media Show podcast where Amol Rajan interviewed Carolyn McCall recently. They were talking about freelancers in TV/Arts who have unfortunately slipped through the furlough net and she said that Martin Lewis had helped her enormously and as a result she had started a digital platform called (sounded like) Free Con. I have searched various ways of what I think she said but have come up blank. Can anyone shine any light on it? Thanks in advance.

I listened (catch up) to the programme you mentioned in the OP but did not hear the reference you mention.0

Around minute 51 (of the 55 minute show) she says "We've just developed a digital platform called "Free Com" where all the freelancers can get work and log in.

At last.... thankyou. I tried Googling Freecon too but doesn't seem to bring up any relevant pages. Can you advise how I get on to the page that you've displayed.

I've found the report that you're referring to in your helpful post, but still can't find any link to getting into Freecon when I try to Google it. Keeps up bringing up competition pages on ITV. Driving me nuts!

I don't think it is what you think it is, it looks like an internal itv plc platform not public access

Looking further it appears to be an internal freelance contractor management tool that they are developing so it may well not be available to access yet

Thirdly, we're looking in-depth at our core central functions. We recognize that to deliver new digital models and ways of working, we need to invest in systems in developing new capabilities right across ITV. This means ensuring teams have the right tools and skills, and that our culture is shifting to embrace new ways of working. We've already delivered Talent Pay, a new payment system; we are now working on FreeCon, which will enable efficient management of the entire freelance contracting process.
