Stocking filler-type present for dad...please help!!

I am having a nightmare trying to find something extra to give my dad with his other pressies (unfortunately have already got my mum something small so need to do the same with dad! d'oh!).

I'm only looking at spending around £5 but he is so difficult to buy for.
He won't like anything homemade :) and never uses most of the stuff i buy him!!

He likes going walking, but i can't find anything in this price range for that.
He also likes Man Utd, but don't want anything tacky :rotfl:
He is also interested in history...but i have no ideas.

Please help! I'm going insane!

  • Photo frame/album with pictures of the family/grandkids/etc. In Boots, they have this sweet mini photo albums which look like a wallet for £2.99. Or perhaps just a normal wallet if his is well used.

A small food hamper with cakes/biscuits/teas/preserves if he likes such things.

A mug filled with a selection of chocolates/drink sachets/small trinkets.

Miniature bottles of alcohol with glasses. You can often find these for about £5.

History book on a subject he likes.
