Should one closure the disability on their CV as the gap is due to medical and disability reason? If not, how does apply with the gap that is due to medical and disability reason that is for life?

You mean disclose?
is your disability protected under law?
its a tough call. if your disability is not a life time one, maybe something like stress related to your last post and you are now fit healthy and raring to go, then it is quite easy to air brush a work break - caring duties, travelling the world, sabbatical
However if you do have a disability thats likely to rear its head again, its best to be upfront and honest , if you lie and further down the line it can be proven you lied on application , then your contract can be terminated and you can be dismissed
I have medical conditions which come under the protected disabilities , however they have no impact on my work, work colleagues accept me as not quite right in the head
. They also know in the past I had a major breakdown which is why I work in a job below my skill set. However if I went off sick with a bad back for months, with a past history of severe back problems - Im going to be in a lot of trouble - I never disclosed that 1 -
Yes, thank you. It's disclose. My way of thinking and words I use are messed up with medical issues and yes, it's disability protected under law. I totally agree with you, being honest from the start on CV. Not sure, whether I should put that down or not? I totally agree it would go against me on disability.Apintplease said:You mean disclose?

If you leave gaps in a CV with no explanation it is going to raise questions anyway, and may well get the CV sifted out at an early stage.
