Halifax help to buy ISA for deposit

Has anyone used a Halifax help to buy ISA towards their deposit? My partner has one but on their website it says it can't be used towards their deposit? (attached screenshot) I'm so confused?

@jasminel95 That's sightly confusing. It just means that the bonus cannot be used for the deposit due at the exchange of contracts.
The bonus will still be included with the funds at the completion of the property purchase, effectively reducing the amount you borrow from the lender. The lender will include the amount of the government bonus when working out the mortgage loan amount.I hope that makes sense.I am a Mortgage Adviser - You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
