Beneficiaries Advice

First time posting here; I've setup my pension and it's asking me about beneficiaries. If i added someone, would they have anything telling them they've been added? I'd prefer to keep it a secret. I don't plan on going anywhere for at least the next 60 odd years, but just in case

This is called an expression of wish form. You can nominate anyone or an organisation. The trustees of the scheme will ultimately decide on who gets the fund on your death as it is under their discretion. It is for this reason that the pension will be outside of your estate on death. I would also recommend you make a will and update it regularly as your personal circumstances change. For example I have seen many cases where the second wife gets the lot and the children of the first wife get nothing.1
