NEST pensions

Hello
I have a NEST pension with my employer, it's been open for 7 years. I contribute an amount set by my employer and haven't really been across it until now. I'm trying to get more knowledge on pensions so I can make the best of it but not sure where to start or how NEST differs from other types of pensions.
I am looking into opening a LISA at the moment as well.
Shall I add more to my NEST pension?
Is anyone able to explain how a NEST pension works in comparison to SIPPs or other types?
Thank you in advance

Nest works exactly the same as a SIPP, stakeholder pension or personal pension.   i..e you pick your investments and the investments will zig zag their way over time.   The difference is the type of investments available.

The only real differences between NEST and a SIPP , is the charging structure ( all pensions have different charging structures) and the range of investments available ( SIPP has a lot more but for the large majority of people that is not an advantage as they never change anything anyway)
All tax rules etc are the same for all pensions.
