Barclays Mortgage- ILA pack

I'm at my wits end!
We took out a mortgage (through a mortgage advisor) for a joint borrower sole proprietor mortgage back in October.
It took absolutely ages, Barclays were leaving a week or 2 between communications each time but we finally got a mortgage offer 18th December.
Throughout the case Barclays have made mistakes, requested docs already sent to them etc...
We didn't reapply with another bank because we thought these delays were just due to Coronavirus, and let's face it not many lenders do the joint borrower sole proprietor mortgages!
Anyway, a condition of the mortgage is to have Independent legal advice and for the solicitor doing it to fill out an ILA pack that they send...
We've had our offer since 18th December, but this pack STILL hasn't been sent. Us, 2 solicitors and a mortgage advisor are all chasing with absolutely no luck, 2 complaints and many escalations and we are still getting nowhere.
Surely it's not just us in this situation??
I don't know what else we can do, I'm hoping for a miracle but I also need to vent!!

@roddis FWIW, from experience over the past many years, I can attest to the fact that Barclays are uniquely capable of messing up even the most straightforward of tasks, so nothing that you've said above surprises me. I can completely understand your frustration.Given how long it's taken, you should try get the broker to get the attention of someone higher up the BDM chain in Barclays (easier said than done unfortunately) through their firm or their mortgage club.

Thanks for your reply. 2 complaints and they haven't even acknowledged them!! I just want the pack sending to us! I'm not asking for much!
I bet if we try to complete they will ask "where is the signed ILA pack?"

The ILA solicitor can call and have it faxed directly to them. Not a lot of fun as the phone lines take ages to answer but sometimes thats the only way to resolve0

Sorted! I messaged the head of mortgages, Craig Calder and it was sorted within 10 mins of his reply!
Funds have been requested now- hopefully they come through swiftly!1 -
not surprised , sounds like Barclays. I know a broker who refuses to deal with them"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"
