Cannot find workplace pension

Hi All, Im having issues tracking a workplace pension my father in law had for 10 years from 1974-1988. We contacted his then employer who give us the details but since then the pension has changed hands so many times. I've done the government tracing pensions online and its taking me back to the original employer. Any ideas what i can do? Thanks

Well you have said the pension has changed so many times surely you would google the address to contact the last pension it has changed to. This is what happens when you leave an employment and do not inform them when there is a change of address. You want us to help you but you have provided no detail at all. Not even the name of the employer. What's that all about?

1974 to 1988 is 14 years, not 10. When do you believe his membership began and ended? Are you sure there's a pension there to trace?
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
