Does getting virgin internet effect credit report prior to completion

I am hoping someone can help me.... we exchanged last week and due to complete next week. We have virgin tv and internet in our current house and yesterday we arranged to have it transferred to new property. I am now worried that perhaps I shouldn’t have done this in advance to completing in case it somehow effects our credit report. Does anyone have any idea about this or am I just over thinking. We were on a rolling contract but have just signed up for a further 18 months. The monthly cost is less than we are currently paying.

  • You're just under thinking. It's not a problem.
  • No problem - I took out sky before completing and the bank never even did a final credit check anyway.
  • Everyone moves their broadband / TV contract when moving. Its totally expected. Its proper credit applications for loans / credit cards, that can cause problems / risks

Thanks. In my head I knew this but after waiting 4 months for our mortgage offer and lots of delays with only 1 week until we complete I am worrying about every little thing! Thanks all 😊
