Sky Pre Employment Experian Background check

Hey there, 
I have recently been offered a job at sky and was told i have to undergo an Experian background check.
I was wondering what does it look for on your credit report is it just public information or a full in depth report?
Are sky mostly concerned with CCJ and bankruptcy etc? do they care about defaults?
When i had my interview the guy had a slide up of the credit check and all i seen was it telling me about IVA CCJ and Bankruptcies.

It's a lot more detailed than that. Google on 'Sky Experian background check' and read the first link (I'm sorry - can't post it for you because it links to a pdf rather than a website and I can't copy the relevant bit).

I mean i know they do criminal checks etc via Experian i was more questioning what there credit check looks for is it basic more CCJ bankruptcies IVA etc.
I have looked at that PDF and it dont really help answer my question just has a link to Experian and even that says just Public credit information

I used to work for Sky as a home service engineer, at the time I applied I had a couple of defaults. When I informed Sky they said it was ok and they were just looking for bankruptcy and CCJ's, this was 2017 so it may have changed or be different depending where you're working and what you have access to

Thanks Dave for your response i think it may still be the same now as in there contract it only says about CCJ and bankruptcy nothing about defaults. or any other information on credit file i could find in there contract i just got. 

if i may ask what made you change from a home service engineer?

I broke my back while running and my spine collapsed due to brittle bones so I couldn't carry on the role,  there were no tech jobs available where there's no up and down ladders etc , so they got rid of me

The OP doesn't say what role they have applied for.  I would expect more in-depth checks for somebody who would have access to people bank details than somebody installing cables and kit in homes.

So after doing the background check form it seems they only do a basic disclosure check and ID check as well as CCJ and bankruptcy check and references nothing majour
