Moorcroft recovery

Just received a letter from Moorcroft demanding payment.Why are they doing this when I went BR in May 2020 and the debt pre dates this

Just called them and told them I was BR asked why they were contacting me.0

Chances are they will have been passed the debt to collect, without knowing the background to it.
Your best putting it in writing as DCA call handlers are notoriously bad at updating records.

Thanks I called them and told them about the BR ref numbers etc and backed it up with a recorded letter asking them not to contact me.All quiet so far0
