Crowdology survey stitch up

Just a quick note to anybody doing Crowdology surveys (I would assume these surveys are also cropping up on other survey sites). I've been getting these surveys recently and, without needing to get political, it seems fairly obvious that they're from either the UK Government or the Conservative Party. They're clearly designed to generate the kind of statistics needed to "prove" whatever they want to prove as pretty much all of the questions ask you to choose from a list of options where it would be obvious to have a "none of the above" or "don't know" option. The survey I just started (and abandoned when I realised it was another of these) was about the virus situation and the first question said "which of the following should the Prime Minister allow to re-open on (whatever date)", and offered shops, restaurants, cinemas etc, and didn't have a "none of the above" option. More importantly for MSE people though, when you get to the end of the survey and complete it, you just get a page saying "thank you for completing this survey" and that's it, it doesn't register on your account and you don't get paid for it! (OK, I can't help going there, I don't know why I'm surprised that the government would promise something then fail to deliver...) Anyway, I've fallen for 2 or 3 of these surveys now but I would advise anybody doing surveys to not bother with them as you won't get paid! They're all called "UK Tracker" or "UK Poll" and they all have the same style, font and turquoise colour scheme, please see a picture of the end page here.

  • Crowdology is a complete and utter rip off and this company needs taking off the 25 survey sites article on moneysavingexpert.

I've spent 40 hrs this week building up points with various companies mentioned on the survey article to the equivalent of £50. Crowdology has now blocked my account taken all my points and I doubt if I'll see the £10 Paypal transfer, which is conveniently lagging behind in payment. Until I see a transfer from one of the companies, I won't be wasting my time.

Crowdology is one of those sh!tty sites that screen you out of surveys once you've completed half of it, which will have given them plenty of valuable data for free, even though you've spent 10+ minutes of your time.

They are a panel partner of cint.com. I find that any survey from any panel with 'cint' in its web address has a very good chance of being rejected up to halfway through. I quit several sites over the last couple of years due to the amount of rejections or sudden account freezes when due a payout, everyone had cint.com in common.
