I was wondering how long applications were taking on average, I applied in November and am still waiting.
Thank you in advance.

  • I applied in early December and heard it had been accepted last week. The Trustmark firm I asked to give my quote have also been told it's been approved so we're hoping they're going to do the work soon.
  • I applied at the beginning of last October and am still waiting, I spoke to a manager eventually (who called me) after several attempts via email to establish why it was taking so long. In my case the house I own I don't live in, I live with my partner, my daughter lives in it and this seemed to cause them a big headache....me too as after much deliberation they finally accepted that I was applying as a landlord. Apparently this did cause some confusion which wasn't my fault but has extended the delay. I was informed by the manager that my application had been correctly filled in and the submitted trade quote was all OK but with over 60,000 applications and insufficient 'trained' knowledgeable staff and now a reduced budget, processing applications is taking much longer than expected and that they have to prioritise home owners above landlords. I was also told that they don't give the final approval but that it has to go back to the government department responsible which is also casuing delays. I don't know if thats the case, Martin might know? Anyway it looks like the government are not going to roll over the 2 billion and have reduced the available money to 350 million....So now I have no idea if the external wall insulation so badly needed around my single block house will be given as with so many outstanding applications it is unlikely landlords will be able to benefit. I feel quite exasperated but I am sure there will be those who feel landlords (even if they're like me helping out letting to children and family) shouldn't be applying and only home owners living at their property should benefit.
